    Good Afternoon BOMA MAC Board, BAEs, & Leadership,

    Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are having a great start to 2026!

    Welcome to the first BOMA MAC Minute; a monthly email I’ll send on the first Monday of the month to fill you in on all things MAC. There will be more emails in between, but you can always count on the first Monday of the Month to bring you some news!

    BOMA Intl Winter Business Meeting: January 25-28, 2026 in Washington DC

      • The BOMA MAC Board meeting will be Monday, January 26 from 3:30-5:00pm.
        • Action Item: Please RSVP and/or forward the outlook invite to board reps if you haven’t already done so.
          We will have some exciting MAC updates & inaittives to share! We will send more details soon.
      • BOMA MAC Regional Breakfast Meeting will be Wednesday, January 28, 7:30am – 8:30am. This is open to all members in the region.
    • BOMA International is hosting a 55-minute webinar on January 14 at 1PM ET to help Winter Business Meeting/National Issues Conference attendees feel fully prepared for their legislative visits. To register & learn more click here.

    MAC Regional Conference Hosted by AOBA: April 15-16, 2026 | Registration Now Open!

    • This year’s Regional Conference will be in Washington, DC April 15-16, 2026 at the Kimpton Monaco Hotel. The AOBA committee and staff have been hard at work putting this together for all of us – it’s going to be a great time!! The schedule is packed with roundtables, panels, building tours, dine arounds, a monument tour, and so much more!
      • Full conference Registration is $525 and includes all conference activities and a ticket to the TOBY Awards. Group tickets, additional TOBY Tickets, and lots of sponsorships are also available!

    Regional TOBY Awards: Deadlines & Info

    • Congratulations to all locals who had TOBY local winners! We are looking towards another exciting year for MAC Regional Competition. We are hoping to have an entry in each category! If your local is participating this year, please let me know.
    • BAES: Please mark your local winners in your Local TOBY Portal as “winner” so they advance to the Regional Portal. Any questions let me know!
    • 2025-26 Regional TOBY Deadlines & Timeline
      • BOMA 360 Application for all applicants submited by: January 15, 2026 *International requirement
      • Prejudging: end of January 2026 / early February 2026: If you would like me to review an entrant’s submittal to provide feedback, please let me know!
      • Submittal Deadline: Monday, March 9, 2026
      • Judging Begins: March 10 | Judging ends: March 25
      • Winners Announced by Friday, March 27
        • All nominees & BAEs will be contacted directly by the BOMA MAC to be notified of the results
      • Regional TOBY Awards at the MAC Conference: April 16, 2026 in Washington, D.C. at Hook Hall
    • A call for TOBY Judges will be sent in February.  More to come!
    • A reminder: if you didn’t have a local TOBY awards program and have a building that wants to participate, we can help your building get judged locally to participate. Please contact me further for more details.

    J. Michael Coleman Scholarship: Deadline March 27, 2026

    • The J. Michael Coleman Scholarship – named after BOMA Philly & BOMA MAC’s own J. Michael Coleman, BOMA Fellow - is awarded annually to up to 10 emerging professionals working in commercial real estate to attend the BOMA International Conference & Expo. The scholarship covers registration fees plus $1,000 USD to be used toward other costs (travel, hotel, etc.). Awardees are also invited to an exclusive Future Leaders Networking Reception at the conference.
    • This is a great opportunity for your local emerging professionals to submit for a chance to attend the conference in Long Beach, CA to develop their professional and BOMA careers.

    • o   BOMA Emerging Professional Member (7 years or less of industry experience)
